Bee Surprise Mix XL

Bee surprise Mix XL

Bee Surprise Mix is a colourful bulb mixture that brings a cheerful touch to spring after the darker winter months. The mixture supports pollinators such as bees with nectar- and pollen-rich flowers, including crocuses, grape hyacinths and daffodils. Flowering takes place from February to May, providing a long-lasting source of food for insects. At the same time, the mixture contributes to biodiversity and creates an attractive spring display through its varied colours.

Bee Surprise Mix XL is the extended version of the above mix, adding extra flowering bulb species for an even longer and more varied flowering period. In addition to crocuses, puschkinia, botanical daffodils, tulips and muscari, this version also contains scilla and irises. The XL version therefore provides an extra colourful spring display and an even wider range of food for pollinators.

  • Food source for early pollinators
  • Creates a colourful and varied display

Planting and planting density

For a flower-rich result, we recommend a planting density of around 400 bulbs per m².

Location and soil

Bee Surprise Mix XL performs best in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.

Application

Bee Surprise Mix XL flowers early and provides valuable food for bees and other insects during a period when food can be scarce. At the same time, the mixture is ideal for brightening up intensively managed lawns where a long-lasting, colourful display is desired. In this way, the mixture contributes to biodiversity while creating an attractive spring landscape.
