Felicitas is a cheerful spring mixture that brings colour and life to public spaces early in the season. The different species provide a varied flowering display that develops throughout spring.
The mixture is characterised by the daffodil ‘Felicitas’, named by Michael and Ronald van Lubbe Lisse. Flowering begins with a mix of crocuses, which provide an early source of food for bees and other insects, followed by mixed chionodoxa and daffodils. This creates a succession of different flowering periods and an array of colours.
With Felicitas, we bring not only colour and interest to public spaces, but also contribute to biodiversity.
Felicitas Mix performs best in well-drained, fertile soil in full sun or partial shade. Spring-flowering bulbs thrive best when the soil does not remain too wet. For colourful and early flowering, the bulbs should be planted around October/November.
The mixture is well suited to parks, public gardens, verges and other green spaces where a colourful start to spring is desired. The crocuses provide the first flowers, followed by chionodoxa and daffodils. This creates a natural succession of flowering that brings outdoor spaces back to life after winter. At the same time, the early flowers provide food for bees and other pollinators. In this way, Felicitas effectively contributes to a biodiverse start to spring.
